autumn breezes

Whirling melodies danced and

entranced a bustling, jostling sea of faces

sharing their spaces

– just for a night –

in falling autumn where the

tune and tentative new rain

mingled and merged, merged and mingled,

smudging the separate single

groups into a billowing blur –

a foreshadowing of whirling leaves

in autumn breezes –

they swirl on through turning seasons
